I read Nature’s The Great Beyond blog when I get time and today they introduced me to a neat little tool called Wordle. Wordle is no rocket science. It’s a simple tool that generates “word clouds”. The fun is that it does that from any text that you paste into it.
Since I happened to have Quran translation in a text file, I decided to give it a try. I removed the header, chapter/verse numbers, etc and reformatted the actual translation into a single line and fed that to Wordle (it wouldn’t take all the text otherwise). Here is what came out:
Neat, eh?
Of course, there is a Wordle for King James Version of the Bible. Do you see any resemblance between the two?
I also liked the Wordle for Ipsum. Look around the gallery for more fun stuff.
Beautiful :)
And thanks for sharing the translation file too :)
